Looking for a chance to connect, stay active, and have fun with others in your community? Senior Socials are the perfect way to do just that! Join us twice a month, 9:45–10:45 AM at 700 10th Street East, Owen Sound. These gatherings are FREE for everyone, no membership required and include coffee, refreshments, games, activities, and friendly conversation. Each session is designed to support healthy aging through movement, connection, and community, helping older adults stay active, engaged, and thriving.
On the 1st Monday of every month, we also welcome a local guest speaker who will share an engaging presentation on a variety of topics. These talks are a great opportunity to learn something new, hear from local experts, and spark meaningful conversations.
Here’s what’s coming up:
-
January 5 – “Two Stations, No Trains”
Join Zack McLean of Community Waterfront Heritage Centre, to learn how Owen Sound, once a major railway hub, ended up with two inactive train stations and explore the city’s rich transportation history. - February 2 – Heather McLeese, Tom Thomson Art Gallery
More speakers to be announced!
Whether you’re interested in learning something new, staying active, or simply enjoying good company, Senior Socials are a welcoming space for all older adults. Register online, at our welcome desk or drop in.
Funding for this project is provided by the Government of Ontario and Community Foundation Grey Bruce
