Join us for an exciting and vibrant celebration of cultures from around the world at the 4th Annual Multicultural Day Celebration hosted by YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce in partnership with the Town of Saugeen Shores! This free, family-friendly event is the perfect way to experience the rich diversity that makes our community so special. Whether you’re a foodie, a music lover, or someone who enjoys exploring new traditions, there’s something for everyone!
Event Details
- Date: Saturday, June 28, 2025
- Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Location: Pioneer Park, 70 Front St, Southampton, ON (rain location is Southampton Coliseum, 26 Albert St S, Southampton, ON)
- Admission: FREE event, open to all, with donations gratefully accepted. You are welcome to wear your traditional cultural clothing.
Event Activities
- Opening Ceremonies with Saugeen First Nation and Mayor Luke Charbonneau begins at 11:00 AM
- Live global music and and cultural performances all day including Saugeen First Nation Drumming Circle, Carribbean Steel Drums, Ukrainian and Highland Dance, Chinese Heritage and Dhol Bagpipes (performance schedule will be announced closer to date).
- A variety of international food vendors
- An arts and crafts vendor market with unique, handmade items
- Fun and educational children’s activities including henna tattoos, face painting, arts and crafts, games and more!

Now in its fourth year, the YMCA’s Multicultural Day Celebration continues to grow in popularity, drawing larger crowds and expanding its activities to include more diverse cultural representations each year. Hosted in a different community annually, the event aims to encourage broader participation and foster a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity across Grey Bruce.
