Successful candidates will lead a stimulating and fast-paced programs providing direct supervision of program participants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepares and delivers safe and inclusive PD Day programming for children ranging in age from 4 years and up.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting possible drop-in programs for youth and assisting with special events as requested.<\/li>\n<li>Completes safe arrival, attendance and coordination of off site excursions, maintains safety supervision of participants at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Actively leads and participates in activities.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains records, reports and a clean and safe program site.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures professional and appropriate communication with participants, parents\/guardians and members of the general public.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures program materials and supplies are prepared in advanced, and program equipment is in safe working order. Maintain inventory, inform Recreation Programming Supervisor of supplies needed.<\/li>\n<li>Responds to emergency and behavioural occurrences following prescribed policy and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures compliance with the Ontario Health and Regulations and other relevant legislations, corporate and departmental policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Performs other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Knowledge\/Skills Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attending high school is a minimum requirement, and minimum of 16 years of age.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience working with children, preferably in a recreational setting.<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.<\/li>\n<li>A team player with the ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Current or ability to obtain Standard First Aid &amp; CPR C\/AED.<\/li>\n<li>HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development is considered an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Various skills that may relate to crafts, sports, aquatics, wilderness and arts for specific camp programming.<\/li>\n<li>Works effectively as a member of a team.<\/li>\n<li>Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Security Check.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we offer you:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Part-Time hours including PD days, nights and weekends, with a shift schedule provided by management.<\/li>\n<li>Contract Term &ndash; September 2026 &ndash; June 2027<\/li>\n<li>Student rate &#8211; $19.00 &ndash; $20.00 depending on qualifications and experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>General rate &#8211; $19.70 &ndash; $20.70 depending on qualifications and experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Eligible to enroll in OMERS pension plan.<\/li>\n<li>Access to Employee Family Assistance Plan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Vacancy:<br \/><\/strong>This posting is for an existing role within our organization.
