The Housing Manager is to ensure the program and department run effectively and efficiently in accordance with Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation approved policies, procedures, standards and plans. In this very busy role, you would find yourself overseeing the Housing Program, Committee, developing and revising policy, sourcing\/managing funding, supervising, human resource related duties.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>MUST HAVE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two (2) years of supervisory experience with managing staff and contractors.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of Federal\/Provincial legislation and regulations that include but not limited to the<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>National Building Code, Canada Labour Code &amp; Health &amp; Safety regulations, Canadian Human Rights<\/p>\n<p>Code, Landlord and Tenant Act<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) Housing Programs<\/li>\n<li>Experience with maintenance and repair activities for residential and commercial buildings,<\/li>\n<li>Experience with housing program policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with sourcing and application for funding opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Post-secondary certificate in Business Administration, Property Management or related field<\/li>\n<li>Two (2) years&rsquo; experience in a related role<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with or for a First Nation or Indigenous organization and an understanding of the structure, culture and traditions of communities<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated Project Management experience including budgeting and planning<\/li>\n<li>High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat<\/li>\n<li>Valid Ontario &ldquo;G&rdquo; class licence<\/li>\n<li>Assets: Exp working with ISC, CMHC or other related Provincial or Federal Agencies, Certified Professional in Project Management, licensed trade, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Equivalencies that include a combination of education and experience may be considered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit cover letter giving details from the list of what you <strong>must have.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Drop off or mail to<\/strong>: Administration Office, Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation, 135 Lakeshore Blvd. Neyaashiinigmiing, Ontario, N0H 2T0.
