For over 30 years, our client has been a top HVAC and Plumbing contractor in both residential and ICI sectors. They are expanding their operations so this role offers room for advancement, a supportive and great company culture. You will work on a wide range of projects which offers you the ability to constantly learn and have variety in your daily tasks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What&rsquo;s In It for You?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive hourly pay based on experience ($35-45\/hr)<\/li>\n<li>Overtime is double time<\/li>\n<li>Full benefits paid by employer<\/li>\n<li>4% RRSP matching<\/li>\n<li>Company vehicle provided (take home)<\/li>\n<li>Workboot allowance<\/li>\n<li>Permanent, full-time role with a stale company and hours<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to advance in an expanding organization (think roles like Foreman, Estimating, Management)<\/li>\n<li>Relaxed, supportive, family-focused environment with flexibility and work-life balance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What Will You Do?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Install and commission refrigeration, air conditioning, and HVAC equipment including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and air handling systems.<\/li>\n<li>Install and connect electrical and control systems associated with HVACR equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Diagnose and repair HVACR system issues including refrigerant leaks, electrical faults, compressor failures, and airflow problems.<\/li>\n<li>Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning systems.<\/li>\n<li>Repair or replace components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, valves, and control systems.<\/li>\n<li>Respond to service calls and emergency repairs as required.<\/li>\n<li>Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Verify system layout, measurements, and equipment placement prior to installation.<\/li>\n<li>Identify potential system issues and recommend practical solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Test HVACR systems to ensure proper operation and efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Charge systems with refrigerant and verify system pressures and temperatures.<\/li>\n<li>Perform system balancing, calibration, and commissioning as required.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all work meets applicable mechanical codes, safety standards, and company quality requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Inspect completed installations and repairs for accuracy and functionality.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Follow all workplace safety procedures and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a clean, organized work environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong> What Do You Bring?<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Journeyperson Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (313A) Certification or 5<sup>th<\/sup> year apprentice<\/li>\n<li>Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certification<\/li>\n<li>At least 1 year of experience in residential installs is required (performing tasks independently).
