You must possess expertise of all food and beverage offerings within the establishment. You will be expected to present yourself in a professional manner, reflecting the upscale environment of your workplace. Special attention should be paid to providing an exceptional customer experience during all steps of service as well as maintaining a team atmosphere with your peers on both the service and culinary teams to achieve your common goal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Learn all details of menu and anticipate questions that may be asked<\/li>\n<li>Learn wine &amp; cocktail lists<\/li>\n<li>Support staff in all areas of the restaurant<\/li>\n<li>Follow all steps of service<\/li>\n<li>Ensure guest satisfaction<\/li>\n<li>Professionally deal with complaints or dissatisfied guests<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a clean &amp; tidy workplace<\/li>\n<li>Support F&amp;B Manager in daily tasks<\/li>\n<li>Bartending &ndash; understanding of cocktail list &amp; popular cocktails<\/li>\n<li>Ability to recommend menu items; having knowledge of flavours and composition<\/li>\n<li>Ability to recommend wines &amp; cocktails; understanding flavour profiles<\/li>\n<li>Stock, organize, clean work stations<\/li>\n<li>Answer phone &amp; taking reservations through Opentable<\/li>\n<li>Assist with monthly inventory and ordering<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of Cobble Beach Resort as a whole<\/li>\n<li>Identify and take advantage of opportunities to up-sell<\/li>\n<li>Help to keep Owens house (satellite food &amp; beverage outlet) stocked throughout the day<\/li>\n<li>Ensure constant communication with the kitchen team<\/li>\n<li>Assist with daily cash outs<\/li>\n<li>Ensure staff are taking required breaks<\/li>\n<li>Assistance with Events including internal events, small celebrations and large celebrations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&middot; Smart Serve Certification<\/p>\n<p>&middot; 1-3 years restaurant experience<\/p>\n<p>&middot; Food and wine knowledge an asset<\/p>\n<p>&middot; 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant setting<\/p>\n<p>&middot; Experience with OpenTable &amp; Jonas software an asset<\/p>\n<p><strong>Working conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This position requires you to be available anytime the restaurant is open. This includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Banquets and special occasions. This position can require long hours and will include working on holidays.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Physical requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&middot; Working on your feet for 8-10 hours<\/p>\n<p>&middot; Ability to lift approx. 40 lbs<\/p>\n<p>&middot;
