You are a compassionate, hardworking, fun team player that believes in the YMCA Mission and Values and giving back to the community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reporting to the Manager of People and Culture, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing Human Resources support to the Association.<\/p>\n<p>This position offers potential for advancement. Individuals with required education and experience looking to advance their Human Resources career in a supportive environment lead by individuals committed to mentoring and life-long learning are strongly encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n<p>This generalist role facilitates essential HR functions, including but not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creates and updates Association policies and ensures policies comply with employment legislation.<\/li>\n<li>Provides human resources related policy, guidelines, and associated legislation clarification to Managers and Supervisors as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Provides support to Program Leads and Employees on issues of concern and provides guidance on how to address problems through proper protocols, promoting a positive work environment.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in the preparation and delivery of performance management practices, employee mandatory training, or other programs in support of employee development.<\/li>\n<li>Generates HR related reports as required or requested.<\/li>\n<li>Administers disability management, leaves of absence, and employee benefits and wellness in collaboration with the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator.<\/li>\n<li>Builds strong, positive, and professional relationships with employees, co-workers, and third parties.<\/li>\n<li>Fosters a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Just Some of the Benefits of Working at the YMCA:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comprehensive and ongoing training and long-term and upward career opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Free membership to our Health, Fitness and Aquatics facility.<\/li>\n<li>Flexible work schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Medical, dental, and pension benefits (eligibility based on number of hours worked)<\/li>\n<li>Fun, passionate and dependable co-workers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a minimum of 18 years of age.<\/li>\n<li>Be legally entitled to work in Canada.<\/li>\n<li>Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Checks upon hire and regularly throughout duration of employment.<\/li>\n<li>Must have relevant formal post-secondary education in Human Resources Management (i.e., college diploma or university degree)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years human resources experience in a generalist capacity<\/li>\n<li>Certified Human Resources Practitioner or Certified Human Resources Leader certification an asset<\/li>\n<li>Current membership with Human Resource Professional Association of Ontario an asset<\/li>\n<li>Previous work experience in the non-profit sector is preferred but not required<\/li>\n<li>Must possess a valid Ontario Driver&rsquo;s License and have regular access to a reliable vehicle and provide proof of adequate vehicle insurance.<\/li>\n<li>Able to provide 3 professional references.<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility regarding assigned hours of work.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet required deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Ability to juggle multiple assignments and priorities<\/li>\n<li>Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff and volunteers; excellent written communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The YMCA&rsquo;s Commitment to Protecting Those We Serve:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are committed to our responsibility to protect the children and other vulnerable people we serve.
