The Labourer supports day-to-day site work and contributes to keeping projects moving efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with demolition, framing, and general carpentry tasks<\/li>\n<li>Support roofing, insulation, siding, soffit, and fascia installation<\/li>\n<li>Assist with installation of windows and doors<\/li>\n<li>Help with flooring, tiling, and interior finishing work<\/li>\n<li>Participate in deck and railing construction<\/li>\n<li>Load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site<\/li>\n<li>Follow direction from Lead Carpenter and supervisors and work as part of a team<\/li>\n<li>Ensure work meets company quality standards and safety requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Typical Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Custom homes<\/li>\n<li>Renovations<\/li>\n<li>Additions<\/li>\n<li>Kitchens and bathrooms<\/li>\n<li>Exterior work including siding, roofs, decks, windows, and doors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 4 years of residential construction experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience in framing, finishing, siding, decks, or general renovations<\/li>\n<li>Strong measuring, cutting, and material handling skills<\/li>\n<li>Good work ethic with attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work well in a team environment<\/li>\n<li>Positive and professional attitude<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain)<\/li>\n<li>Must be comfortable working at heights and on ladders or roofs when required<\/li>\n<li>Tool belt and basic hand tools required, including tape measure, speed square, chalk line, and hammer<\/li>\n<li>CSA-approved steel toe boots required<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license<\/li>\n<li>Must live within commuting distance to Markdale\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About Valley Home Improvements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Valley Home Improvements is a family-run construction company based in Markdale serving Grey Highlands and the surrounding area.
