This position includes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The anticipated duration of this position is 8 weeks with the potential for extension.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Perform defined work routines, using various dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Food Service Supervisor and\/or Cook.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aid the Cook in the preparation and service of meals and snacks at scheduled times<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Maintain high sanitation standards as set up by Public Health<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Follow all food handling regulations<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Assist in receiving and storing of food and supplies, food rotation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Wash, sanitize and store dishes, utensils, and equipment properly<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Follow established dietary and Health &amp; Safety policies and procedures<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Practice good personal hygiene and frequent handwashing<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Attend in-service educational programs<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Perform other department duties or special assignments as directed by the Food Service Supervisor<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>PLGB is committed to Employment Equity, welcomes diversity in the workplace and encourages applications from all qualified individuals including women, members of visible minorities, indigenous persons and persons with disabilities.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>PLGB is committed to recognizing the dignity and independence of all and seeks to ensure that persons with disabilities have genuine, open and unhindered access to the agency&rsquo;s employment opportunities.
