Duties include adhering to all regulations governing food preparation, serving, and sanitation, which encompasses the operation and cleaning of kitchen equipment. The role also requires contributing to meal presentation and offering menu suggestions based on resident preferences. Collaboration with the entire care team, volunteers, and students is essential. The successful candidate must manage supplies efficiently and strictly comply with all relevant health and safety policies and legislation.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for the following qualifications and traits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Have successfully completed or are enrolled in a Food Service Worker program at a established under the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Act, 2002 or a Food Service Worker program provided by a registered private career college and approved by the Superintendent of private career colleges under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005 as required under the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021 ss. 79 and Ontario Regulation 84\/22 (1) preferred.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Appropriate food service experience, skills and knowledge in fields of institutional, health care, restaurant or hospitality setting is an asset.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A valid Safe Food Handler&rsquo;s Certificate preferred.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience in a Long-Term Care setting is an asset.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Our offer to you may include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Referral bonus<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Individualized assistance with tuition and further education<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Skill development and internal advancement = growth in your career<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Awards and recognition programs and team appreciation events<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Exclusive discounts on products,services and travel<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A welcoming culture that values diversity and differing perspectives, experiences and beliefs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note, all applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
