Our client, a well-established manufacturer, is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant to join their team located in Tara, ON. This is a permanent, in-office position with full-time hours. Wage starts between $25.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Assistant role is responsible for a wide variety of administrative tasks including invoicing, reconciliation, communications, and follow-up. Core responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, Reviewing & Editing Various Forms of Correspondence Including Sales & Manufacturing Orders, POs, Letters, Invoices & Various Other Reports
  • Maintaining, Tracking, Updating & Scheduling Orders for Shipment in an Accurate Manner
  • Answering Telephone & Email Inquiries & Relaying to Appropriate Department
  • Working with Other Departments to Coordinate Various Shipping, Receiving, Storing, Picking, Packing & Expediting Activities
  • Preparing & Organizing Documents for Distribution Including Mailing, Binding & Filing
  • Assisting in Compiling Data for Reporting & Tracking Purposes
  • Providing Quality Service While Interacting with Both Internal & External Clients
  • Other Tasks as Assigned

Requirements & Skills

  • 1 – 5 Years Experience in a Supply Chain Related Position
  • Bilingual Language Skills (English/French) Considered an Asset
  • People Person Comfortable Working Both in a Team & Independently
  • Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills
  • Highly Organized with a Demonstrated Ability to Multi-Task While Meeting Deadlines
  • Ability to Type 60 Words Per Minute
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Previous Experience with Inventory Management, ERP Systems & Other Manufacturing Platforms is Considered an Asset
  • Degree or Diploma in Administration, Business or a Related Field
