We are looking for a summer student to help our senior staff in the kitchen. This position includes:

The anticipated duration of this position is 8 weeks with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform defined work routines, using various dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Food Service Supervisor and/or Cook.
• Aid the Cook in the preparation and service of meals and snacks at scheduled times
• Maintain high sanitation standards as set up by Public Health
• Follow all food handling regulations
• Assist in receiving and storing of food and supplies, food rotation
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled
• Wash, sanitize and store dishes, utensils, and equipment properly
• Follow established dietary and Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Practice good personal hygiene and frequent handwashing
• Attend in-service educational programs
• Perform other department duties or special assignments as directed by the Food Service Supervisor
