Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform plumbing tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand plumbing layouts and specifications.
- Help assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures according to established codes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of job sites and ensure all tools are organized and properly stored.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot plumbing issues and provide effective solutions.
- Learn basic math skills necessary for measuring, cutting, and fitting pipes accurately.
- Develop mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems for efficient problem-solving.
Requirements
- Registered as a 1st or 2nd year plumbing apprentice in Ontario (or your province)
- Valid G driver’s license with a clean abstract (preferred)
- Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in various conditions
- Basic understanding of plumbing principles is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety practices in a construction environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics; training will be provided as needed.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
