Job Description
The Pet Spa is looking for a full time Pet Groomer Assistant to join our team.
All candidates chosen will be offered an in-person interview. The second hiring stage is participating in an unpaid 2 hour working interview in addition to the standard one on one interview.
The starting wage for this position is $19 an hour plus gratuities. Higher compensation can be determined based on experience and skill level. Please note that we do not participate with WSIB, and we do not offer personal health benefits packages.

– Weekday operating hours are Monday to Thursdays, 8am to 3:30pm, Fridays 8am to 12noon. (closed all statutory holidays and all weekends)
Skills/ attributes Required:
– Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a very physical workplace, can stand for long period of times
– Is comfortable with getting wet, dirty and furry
– Can assist with all dog breeds and sizes, start to finish
– Customer service skills
– Friendly and outgoing, calm and gentle
– Polite and professional
– Team player
– Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple priorities
– Positive, can-do attitude
– Follows safety and policy guidelines at all times
– Takes pride in a job well done
– Reliable and punctual
– Ability to work in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities
– Enjoys working with dogs
– Will assist with training and supporting our High School co-op student program. We feel it is important to inspire our youth and support their interest in pet/animal career opportunities.
