Rural Home Care is seeking Certified PSWs for various locations within the Hanover, Walkerton, Wingham, Kincardine, Listowel/Atwood areas. 

Role 

• Assisting with daily living activities, such as personal care, assistance with household tasks, respite care, medication assistance, special functions
• Promoting a safe environment by demonstrating proper body mechanics, safe transfer techniques, and home safety
• Preparing nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan, using proper food preparation, storage, and hygiene practices.

Basic Qualifications

• A strong desire and commitment to making a difference in our client’s lives.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Availability to work days, evenings, overnights and weekends.
• A valid driver’s license (G), access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance
• Valid certificate as a Personal Support Worker, Developmental Support Worker, Home Support Worker, or Nursing.
• Vulnerable sector check screening, a clear background check
• Valid CPR/First Aid
