Key Responsibilities:

The Parts Administrator will be responsible for the following primary functions:

• Provide support to the Service Manager, Service Technician Team, and Customers
• Order, return, receive and dispatch parts as required
• Monitor purchasing trends
• Source new suppliers that are cost efficient and high quality
• Closely manage inventory levels and minimize variances at the year-end physical inventory count
• Encourage sales and act as a liaison with customers where appropriate
• Assign parts and purchases to the correct work orders
• Maintain accurate and complete records of inventory and payables
• Assist the Office Manager with accounting issues related to inventory and payables
• Weekend work will be required at times during the summer months
• Learn/ understand the role of the Service Advisor and be able to assist with service writing or other related tasks in times of need
• Perform such other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will need to have the following experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior marina or automotive experience and/or basic knowledge of inventory systems is preferred
• Boating experience and knowledge is an asset
• Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with strong accuracy and attention to detail
• Holds a valid G drivers license
• Is experienced with computers and has the ability to quickly learn new software programs
