Job Description

Program/Dept: Cape Croker Park

Reports To: Senior Park Maintenance Attendant

Type of Employment: Casual Contract – 24 weeks

Wage: $20.85 – $26.58 (Level 2)

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

The main purpose of Park Patrol staff is to oversee the behavior of park visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Park Patrol encourage adherence to park rules for the conservation and safeguarding of the park’s ambiance, facilities, and resources. This responsibility ensures that all park patrons have a positive and safe experience.

Qualifications

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma and/or training and/or work experience
  • Assets include: park maintenance/janitorial experience, CPR First Ai, Propane Cylinder Gilling Certification
  • Propane Cylinder Filling Certification or ability to obtain
  • Acceptable recent Criminal Record Check
  • CPR and First Aid training or ability to obtain
  • Knowledge of park operations and maintenance, layout and rules
  • Familiar with the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation community and area
  • Knowledge of First Nation culture and traditions
  • Organized, time and task management skills
