Job purpose
As a Kitchen Steward at Cobble Beach, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the dishwasher and dish area. You will oversee washing all, china, utensils, pots, pans, kitchen tools, sweeping moping, garbage removal, equipment cleaning and detailing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of dish area
- Keep an organized workstation
- Change water in dish washer regularly
- Check sanitation solution in pot sinks with test strips provided
- Stocks up all chemicals, paper towel, and janitorial supplies
- May be asked regularly to run and get products from storage areas for co workers
- Responsible for communication of products that are running low or equipment issues that may be noticed
- Communicates positively and effectively with coworkers of all areas
- Follows kitchen procedures to ensure a smooth-running operation
- Understands the importance of proper sanitation and risk involved if not maintained
- Regularly checks and records rinse temperature on dish washer
- Remove kitchen garbage regularly before it gets to heavy and becomes a safety hazard
