This role is ideal for youth who are flexible and able to work a mix of weekday and weekend shifts, including daytime and evening hours. Whether you’re serving customers, preparing menu items, or helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, you take pride in being reliable, friendly, and adaptable.
You don’t need extensive experience- just a willingness to learn, an interest in food service, and a commitment to providing great customer experiences. If you enjoy working outdoors, engaging with your community, and being part of a mission-driven organization, this role is for you.
Availability Required:
- Must be available for a mix of weekday and weekend shifts
- Daytime, evening, and occasional later-evening hours required
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve ice cream, beverages, and food truck menu items efficiently and accurately
- Provide excellent customer service with a positive and welcoming attitude
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stand and food truck
- Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks as required
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Help with opening and closing procedures
Qualifications:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekdays and weekends
- Availability for both day and evening shifts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in the outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Previous food service experience is an asset but not required
