As a charity igniting the potential in people, we are seeking a professional Administrative Assistant who aspires to a career in Human Resources.
Responsibilities:
- Provides highly sensitive, confidential administrative support to the Human Resources team.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Accurately enters data into HRIS for new and current employees and utilizes the HRIS to produce reports and trigger automated messages to supervisors and/or employees.
- Assists with regular Human Resources processes, for example recruitment, as appropriate.
- Coordinates volunteer recruitment, onboarding and training.
- Prepares documentation such as letters, reports, agendas, presentations and minutes as requested.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
- Organizes and participates in meetings, orientation sessions and training activities.
- Escalates matters to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management as necessary.

Job Requirements:
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Has a minimum of 2 years’ administrative experience.
- Has or is pursuing a degree or diploma in Human Resource Management or Business Administration.
- Strong use and knowledge of all Microsoft Office 365 products.
- Exposure to an HRIS is an asset.
- Must be technology savvy.
- Is a champion for and able to adapt to change.
- Has excellent written communication skills
- Is able to handle information of a sensitive nature and maintain confidentiality.
- Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills with customer service orientation.
- Can provide 3 professional references.
- Have current Standard First Aid, CPR-C, & AED certificate or willingness to complete.
- Must provide Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Checks upon hire and regularly throughout duration of employment.
