Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures. The supervisor is also responsible for inspecting and ensuring the rest of the team is maintaining our standards. Our goal is to provide our guests a ‘home away from home’ atmosphere, including living up to their high expectations of cleanliness.
Responsibilities
· Clean and arrange guest rooms to hotel standards for guest arrival
· Clean and maintain common areas of the hotel
· Perform laundry duties as necessary
· Stock and maintain housekeeping supply rooms
· Ensure a high level of customer service is performed at all times
· Assist guests with requests and questions as necessary
· Report any damages or repairs needed to management
· Other duties as assigned by management.
· Complete scheduling, inventory and room inspections
· Supervise up to 15 employees
Qualifications
· Proficient verbal and written communication skills in the English language
· Careful attention to detail while adhering to strict deadlines
· Maintain a neat and professional appearance based upon a required dress code
· Must be personable and able to interact with clientele in a friendly and professional manner
· Ability to safely use chemicals and cleaning supplies in the workplace
· A willing team player and capacity to work independently as necessary
Working conditions
· Fast paced, strict deadlines, lots of walking, on your feet all shift, supervising up to 15 employees
Physical requirements
· Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 25 lbs individually or 50 lbs in tandem lift.
