The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures. Our goal is to provide our guests a ‘home away from home’ atmosphere, including living up to their high expectations of cleanliness

Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean and arrange guest rooms to hotel standards for guest arrival
• Clean and maintain common areas of the hotel
• Perform laundry duties as necessary
• Stock and maintain housekeeping supply rooms
• Ensure a high level of customer service is performed at all times
• Assist guests with requests and questions as necessary
• Report any damages or repairs needed to management
• Report all lost and found items to the Housekeeping Manager
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• A willing team player and with the ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment with strong organizational skills.
• Must be personable and interact with guests and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
• Proven track record of employment punctuality & reliability.
• Ability to safely use chemicals and cleaning supplies in the workplace

Working Conditions

Shifts are generally 5-8 hours in length, with a half hour break where applicable. This position requires an extended period of standing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 35 lbs individually or 50 lbs in tandem lift.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
