The Highland Manor B&B www.highlandmanor.ca is now entering its 26th year of hosting guests in an elegant, but relaxed setting. We are looking for the right person to join us this year in providing spotless and welcoming accommodation. Are you that person?
You will be responsible for ensuring that guests check in to find clean rooms, bathrooms, and public areas, including two living rooms, the dining room, the halls, and the verandah (in the summer). In addition to cleaning, this entails dusting, vacuuming and general maintenance of all these areas.
Occasionally, there will be other light chores, which would be discussed should we ask you to come for an interview. You will not be required to do any laundry or kitchen work.
Applicants must:
Have own transportation
Live in or very close to Owen Sound
Have SOME cleaning experience, although training will be provided on site
Be VERY flexible time-wise, and be available every day of the week, although never 7 days in a row. The Accommodation business is very unpredictable – during some months you might be here 5 days in a row, but generally no more than 3-4 hours a day, anywhere between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., mostly between 9 and 12. All hours depend on reservations.
