Program: Community Food Forest
Dept: Social Services
Reports To: Social Services Supervisor
Type of Employment: Part-time Contract (September to December)
Wage: Level 2 ($22.66 – $28.28 dependent in qualifications and skills
Hours of Work: 15 hrs per week – Flexible hours as determined by project requirements
Closing Date: August 25, 2026 4:00 pm EST
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Environment Studies, Indigenous Studies, Community Development, Natural Resources Management, Social Services, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience coordination community-based programs or projects
- Experience working with Indigenous communities is considered an asset
- Experience with gardening, food production, food sovereignty initiatives, environmental stewardship, or land-based programming is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic record keeping
- Strong organization and project coordination skills
- Strong facilitation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence and access to reliable transportation
- Acceptable Criminal Record Check
- First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Equivalencies that include a combination of education and experience may be considered.
