Experienced Residential Construction Labourer
Valley Home Improvements – Markdale, ON

Experienced Residential Construction Labourer wanted for construction projects in Grey Highlands and the surrounding area.

• $23–$27 per hour depending on experience
• Monday – Friday schedule
• Full-time, permanent position
• Two weeks vacation (4% vacation pay accrued)

Role

This is a hands-on position working alongside our crew on a variety of residential construction projects. The Labourer supports day-to-day site work and contributes to keeping projects moving efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with demolition, framing, and general carpentry tasks
• Support roofing, insulation, siding, soffit, and fascia installation
• Assist with installation of windows and doors
• Help with flooring, tiling, and interior finishing work
• Participate in deck and railing construction
• Load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
• Follow direction from Lead Carpenter and supervisors and work as part of a team
• Ensure work meets company quality standards and safety requirements

• Kitchens and bathrooms
• Exterior work including siding, roofs, decks, windows, and doors

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of residential construction experience
• Experience in framing, finishing, siding, decks, or general renovations
• Strong measuring, cutting, and material handling skills
• Good work ethic with attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Positive and professional attitude

Requirements

• Valid Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must be comfortable working at heights and on ladders or roofs when required
• Tool belt and basic hand tools required, including tape measure, speed square, chalk line, and hammer
• CSA-approved steel toe boots required
• Valid driver’s license
• Must live within commuting distance to Markdale
