Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) / Childcare Assistant (Full-Time)
Overview
Little Grove Academy is preparing to open a licensed childcare centre in Shallow Lake, focused on creating a nurturing, engaging, and reliable environment for children and families.
We are looking for 6 caring and dependable Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) to support our educators in the classroom. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in helping create a positive daily experience for every child.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the RECE (Classroom Lead) in the daily operation of the classroom
- Assist with implementing activities and routines throughout the day
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment
- Provide attentive care and supervision to children at all times
- Support children with daily routines (meals, transitions, toileting, outdoor play)
- Encourage positive interactions and model respectful behaviour
- Assist with set-up and clean-up of activities and spaces
- Follow all licensing requirements, policies, and procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive workplace culture
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a childcare or related setting (preferred)
- ECA certification or relevant experience considered an asset
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR-C
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Position Details
- Full-time, permanent
- Monday–Friday, within centre operating hours
