Sitters Co is expanding in Owen Sound, and we’re looking for kind, patient, reliable people to provide non-medical companion support for older adults in the community.
This is not nursing or medical care. It’s the kind of everyday support many of us would want for a parent, grandparent, neighbour, or loved one — someone warm and trustworthy to spend time with them, keep them company, and help with simple day-to-day things.
As an elder care companion, your role may include:
- Friendly conversation and social visits
- Playing cards, puzzles, games, or doing hobbies together
- Going for walks
- Reading, chatting, or sharing coffee/tea
- Light help around the home
- Meal companionship or simple meal support
- Accompanying someone on errands
- Providing a calm, caring presence

Company Description
Sitters Co Canada is a modern babysitting platform launching in Owen Sound and surrounding communities. We help local families connect with approved sitters for casual babysitting, date nights, weekend help, backup care, school holiday care, and occasional support.
We are currently accepting applications from responsible, warm, reliable sitters aged 18+ who enjoy working with children and want a more organised way to access babysitting opportunities. Approved sitters can build a profile, choose their own hourly rate starting from $18/hour, manage availability, view booking opportunities, and get paid through the platform.
We’re starting with a small founding group of sitters in the area before opening family access. Applying is free, but not every applicant will be accepted, as trust and quality are very important to us.
