Arena Housekeeping Attendant

The City of Owen Sound is seeking individuals to assist with the clean-up of the arena after Owen Sound Attack games. This is a casual position, reporting to the Manager of Arena Operations. The position will perform garbage pick-up and disposal, sweeping, mopping, and washroom cleaning. Successful candidates will be able to watch the Owen Sound Attack Games prior to their cleaning shifts after the games.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean seating areas following hockey games and events, including garbage pickup, sweeping, mopping, changing garbage and recycling, and cleaning stairs and other public areas.
- Assist with setup and takedown for special events/functions at the arena.
- Provide exceptional customer service to facility patrons.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Previous cleaning experience and/or work in a similar facility, particularly in municipal or public settings, is an asset.
- Core Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Independent work management with attention to detail
- Proficient in time management and adaptable to varied tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Salary: $20.29 hourly
