Our client, a rotational molding manufacturer, is currently seeking a Full-Time Accounting Generalist to join the team at their busy office location in Shallow Lake, ON. The Accounting Generalist will be responsible for managing all payroll related systems and inquires. This is a full-time permanent position with a starting wage of $21.00 to $24.00 per hour based on experience.

About The Role

Working under the supervision of the Director of Accounting, the Accounting Generalist will need prior experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) and will contribute to the managing and overseeing of accounting operations. Other tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining General Ledger by Creating, Verifying, & Posting Journal Entries
  • Reconciling Balance Sheet Accounts
  • Processing Weekly Payments & Cheque Requests
  • Completing & Supporting Monthly Closing Cycle & Related Financial Reporting Requirements
  • Communicating Both Internally & Externally Within Team Environment
  • Conducting Weekly Backup of Payroll, Including Verifying Payroll Earnings/Deductions & Posting Journal Entries
  • Completing Bank Reconciliations & Preparing Financial Analyses & Reports
  • Providing Calculation & Coordination of Commission Payments.
  • Performing Invoicing, Order Entries, AR/AP & Credit Collections
  • Additional Duties as Required

 

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Other Similar Diploma/Degree
  • 3 to 5 Years of Previous Accounting Experience (Manufacturing Environment Preferred)
  • Working Knowledge of Accrual Accounting & GAAP Regulatory Standards
  • Familiarity with UKG Payroll Administration Program is an Asset
  • Working Experience in a Manufacturing Environment is Preferred

 

This role would be a great fit for someone with experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Accounting, Accounting Clerk, Finance, Financial Analyst or Tax Preparation.
