Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The bookkeeper / inputter is responsible for performing basic bookkeeping, financial transactions and for producing and maintaining financial records. The bookkeeper / inputter must maintain the highest level of confidentiality for all matters related to this position.
Accountability: is accountable to the Board of Directors through the treasurer. Responsibilities & Specific
Duties: · Maintains the Centres accounting databases by entering data related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank deposits and by processing backups.
· Creates, analyzes, and presents financial reports in an accurate and timely manner using software approved by the Board of the Active Lifestyles Centre Grey-Bruce.
· Provides monthly financial reports for the Board including reports on significant variances from budget in a format agreed to by the Board.
· Prepares an Annual Financial Report.
· Assists in year end processes in preparation for the annual review by the auditor. Ensures all records are available for the auditor.
· Performs other duties as specified by the Board of Directors. Conditions of Employment: hours of work are approximately 3-5 hours per month (typically approximately 3 hours.).
Days to be negotiated with the Board Treasurer as required to support reporting to Board Meetings.
