Are you a self-motivated professional who just “loves” dinosaurs and meeting people.
QYC Fun Factory is a dinosaur themed children’s play centre on the East side of Owen Sound. We are expanding into phase two and looking for an experienced person with exceptional customer service and management skills to take a prominent role in the centre.
Currently part-time, the position has potential to become full-time, once phase two opens. Hours would include weekend and early evenings as well as some week days.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Interpersonal Skills: Enthusiastic, welcoming personality with the ability to handle multiple situations at once
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve guest issues calmly and professionally.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with mobile devices, point-of-sale systems, and property management systems.
- Communication: Clear verbal communication..
- Knowledge: Knowledge or the ability and desire to learn some cool dino facts.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Customer Service Background: you need strong interpersonal communication, a welcoming demeanor, and a customer service-oriented attitude, typically supported by prior guest services or hospitality experience
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work on your feet for long periods. Willing to do what’s needed with a can-do attitude.
- Daily duties – Greeting, registering guests, hosting parties, engaging with guests throughout their stay, following all requirements as laid out by operations manuals, cleaning and basic cafe duties .
- Honesty and Integrity – Ability to work alone and keep a high standard of maintenance and hygiene throughout QYC Fun Factory
- Team work: Exceptional proven teamwork, adaptability, and a positive, energetic personality help you stand out in this position. These skills are essential for creating memorable guest experiences and ensuring smooth daily operations at QYC Fun Factory.
- Team Management: Effective management of a small team requires a blend of nurturing, delegation and clear communication to maximize productivity and maintain high morale.
- Age and Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Requirements : A First Aid Certificate, Food hygiene certificate and a vulnerable police check is required.
