Join an elite mobile senior services team providing specialized hygiene and geriatric foot care to high-risk seniors in the Grey-Bruce area. Under the Nurse-supported guidance of our Staff Nurse and the Business Owner, the Geriatric Foot Care Support Specialist will provide essential in-home care to a dedicated waitlist of 50+ clients. This role combines clinical hygiene, mobile service delivery, and medical-grade sterilization to improve the quality of life for seniors with mobility challenges.
​Key Responsibilities & Duties
​Mobile Clinical Care: Travel to private residences to provide specialized foot hygiene and geriatric care treatments for seniors, ensuring comfort and skin integrity.
​Sterilization Management: Operate and maintain a Class B Autoclave at our Port Elgin clinical hub, following surgical-grade sterilization protocols for all reusable instruments.
​Nurse Coordination: Monitor client condition during visits and report health changes or skin concerns directly to the Staff Nurse to ensure continuity of care.
​Clinical Hub Training: Participate in a mandatory 30-day orientation at our central hub to master IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) standards and geriatric positioning techniques.
​Patient Advocacy & Safety: Assist seniors with mobility and positioning during treatments; maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic mobile workspace for every appointment.
​Record Keeping: Use our digital intake system to document care plans and client progress for review by the nursing team.
​Requirements & Working Conditions
​Physical Capabilities: Must be comfortable with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling, as well as lifting and transporting mobile equipment (up to 20kg).
​Travel: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Grey-Bruce and surrounding areas.
​Compliance: Must provide a clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) and follow strict professional insurance and hygiene standards.
​Interpersonal Skills: Must have a compassionate, patient-centered approach to geriatric care.
