Company Description

The Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation was established in 1995 as a non profit charitable organization. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that is committed on representing the people of Kincardine and the surrounding communities. The sole purpose of the Foundation is to raise funds for the benefit of our local hospital.

We are on the cusp of something extraordinary. The upcoming hospital expansion will transform care in our region, bringing modern facilities and new spaces designed with patients and families in mind. At the heart of this redevelopment is a milestone achievement: Bruce County’s very first MRI machine.

For the first time, patients will no longer need to travel hours away for critical diagnostic imaging. This is more than convenience—it’s about faster answers, earlier treatment, and peace of mind when it matters most. The MRI, along with expanded Emergency Department, Laboratory Services, Medical Imaging and support area improvements, represents a once‑in‑a‑lifetime upgrade to health care in our community.

SBGHC anticipates breaking ground early in 2027 with construction expected to take three years to complete.
