About Us

The Meaford Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is a community-based, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting military members and their families. We provide programs, services, and resources that strengthen family well-being, resilience, and connection.

We are seeking a passionate, organized, and experienced professional to join our team as a Child Care Supervisor & Program Coordinator.

Position Summary

The Child Care Supervisor & Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily childcare operations while planning, coordinating, and delivering engaging programs that support children and families within the military community. This role combines leadership, program development, and direct collaboration with families and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support daily childcare operations
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to childcare staff
  • Plan, develop, and coordinate age-appropriate programs and activities
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and standards
  • Coordinate family-focused programs, workshops, and special events
  • Build positive relationships with military families and community partners
  • Manage program schedules, materials, and resources
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Diploma or equivalent
  • Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a licensed childcare setting
  • Experience in a childcare supervisor role (preferred)
  • Experience with CCLS (preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of child development principles
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Valid CPR & First Aid Certification
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

The Military Family Resource Centre Meaford is a non-profit, registered charity that provides assistance to CAF families. Through outreach to the communities that our families live (Meaford, Collingwood, Owen Sound and areas in between) to in-house programs, we strive to be a reliable resource dedicated to supporting the quality of life of military families. 

You can find us on the 4th Canadian Division Training Centre, located approximately 10km to the northwest of the town of Meaford.
