Registered Early Childhood Educator (2 Positions)
Program: Nshiime Child Care Centre

Reports To: Nshiime Child Care Supervisor

Term of Employment: Temporary Full-Time (Maternity Leave Coverage – until incumbents return) Wage: $26.38 – $32.80 per hour Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

About The Job

Reporting to the Child Care Supervisor, the Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) plans and implements age-appropriate programs that support the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development of children. The RECE ensures a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment in accordance with the Child Care and Early Years Act and Ministry guidelines. Responsibilities include curriculum planning, maintaining health and safety standards, fostering positive relationships with children and families, and supporting overall classroom operations.

QUALIFICATIONS
•College Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Native Early Childhood Education with one-year relevant experience
•Knowledge or experience working with First Nation and/or Indigenous communities
•Current member in good standing of the College of Early Childhood Educators
•Valid CPR and First Aid and WHMIS
•Recent acceptable Criminal Record and Vulnerable Screening Check
