Wage: $22.88 – $28.44 per hour (EA/ECE diploma in progress)
$26.00 – $32.33 per hour (completed EA/ECE diploma)
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

About The Job
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to support students and teachers in an elementary classroom setting. The successful candidate will assist with lesson delivery, provide one-on-one and small group support, and help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. This role includes supporting students with diverse learning, behavioural, and emotional needs, supervising during recess, and contributing to classroom management and daily routines.

QUALIFICATIONS
•Diploma in Educational Assistant, Early Childhood Education, or a related program, or currently enrolled with relevant experience
•Experience working with children, particularly those with diverse learning, behavioural, or emotional needs
•Knowledge of First Nation education issues and an understanding of Anishinaabe culture, traditions, and Anishinaabemowin
•Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
•Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgment in a school setting
•Demonstrated flexibility, problem-solving skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision
•Valid First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain), along with a current Vulnerable Sector Check and immunization record
