Job Description
Our client, Durham Furniture, is looking for a Temporary Cleaner to assist with custodial duties at their production facility located in the Town of Durham, ON. This role is a full-time role that is estimated to run for approximately 3 months. Straight afternoon shift only from Monday to Thursday with Fridays off and no weekends required. Wage starts at $18.86 per hour.

About The Role
The ideal Temporary Cleaner candidate is a detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic, janitorial and/or cleaning experience, and problem-solving skills. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work with a friendly demeanor around other team members. Additional tasks may include:
- Keeping Areas in Clean & Orderly Condition
- Cleaning Paint Spray Booths & Other Production Areas as Needed
- Sweeping, Mopping, Scrubbing, Vacuuming, & Washing Floors
- Cleaning Dust from Railings/Surfaces & Fingerprints from Windows & Doors
- Disinfecting Surfaces & Doorknobs
- Cleaning & Disinfecting Bathrooms
- Cleaning Light Fixtures
- Picking Up & Emptying Garbage Bins On-Premises
- Other Tasks as Assigned
Requirements
- Knowledge Of Standard Cleaning Methods
- Experience Using Cleaning Equipment & Cleaning Solutions
- Organized with the Ability to Follow Routines & Maintain Checklists
- Experience In Handling, Mixing & Using Cleaning Chemicals
- Detail-Oriented with The Ability to Work Independently & Prioritize Workload
