Saugeen Shores Hub is looking Part Time Freelance Reporter to cover community news and events in and around Saugeen Shores and Saugeen First Nation.

The ideal candidate will be flexible with some evening and weekend work required. Experience with photography and news reporting an asset.

The job entails:

• community engagement
• covering assignments as requested as well as providing leads to new stories
• photography and videography
• some feature writing
• a passion for story telling in a compelling and engaging way
• working knowledge and familiarity with Saugeen Shores and Saugeen First Nation an asset

Skills include:

• the ability to work independently
• fact checking and accurate reporting
• quick turnaround on breaking news and events
• organizing individuals and groups for photo and interview opportunities
