Job Description
Our client, an HVAC Supply company in Owen Sound, is currently looking for a Full time Temporary Delivery Driver to perform deliveries throughout Grey & Bruce County. The selected candidate will make deliveries Monday – Friday starting at 7:30 am and leaving from the Owen Sound location. This is a temporary full-time role with the possibility of becoming permanent. Wage starts at $21.87 per hour.

About The Role
The Delivery Driver will oversee the handling of all deliveries for the Owen Sound branch of the organization. Duties include customer order deliveries, picks-ups for returned materials at the customer site and suppliers, and basic truck maintenance. Other requirements include:
- Delivering materials to customers (including Showroom customers) on time & according to the delivery route order
- Assisting in the loading & unloading of trucks – Heavy lifting required
- Ensuring all paperwork & established procedures are followed
- Providing high levels of customer service to the clients you service
- Ensuring all cash sale funds are picked up & documented accordingly
- Basic truck maintenance
Qualifications
- Must have experience driving G-licensed 3-ton truck for delivery purposes
- Must hold valid Ontario G License
- Applicant must have a clean driving abstract
- Applicant must be over 21 years of age for insurance purposes
- Strong command of the English language
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Basic computer knowledge to update inventory database
- Heavy Lifting – Must be able to lift & handle up to 100lbs safely
- Knowledge of local area a key asset
This role would be a great fit for a candidate with experience as a bus driver, delivery driver, dry van driver, long-haul trucker, dump or cement truck driver, or flatbed hauler.
