Job Description
We are seeking an Early Childhood Coordinator to support and enhance services for children aged 0–6 in Neyaashiinigmiing. Working collaboratively with local programs and surrounding service providers, the Coordinator will help ensure culturally appropriate programming, seamless access to early childhood services, early intervention supports, and training opportunities for families and frontline staff. This role includes organizing regular meetings with community service providers and offering ongoing support and professional development for those working with young children. QUALIFICATIONS
•Early Childhood Education (ECE) Diploma from an accredited college or university, or equivalent, and a Social Services Diploma
•Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with families and/or children aged 0–6
•One (1) year supervisory experience
•Demonstrated experience working with First Nations communities
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer programs
•Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills
•Reliable, self-motivated, and culturally sensitive
•Ability to incorporate Anishinaabemowin and culture into programming
•Ability to provide up-to-date immunization records upon request
•Valid First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain within three (3) months of hire
