The ONYX Origin Story

ONYX Smart Security began with a vision to redefine what local security means.

In 2021, Derek transformed Davidson Security into ONYX, blending his expertise in energy-efficient design and trade work with a passion for cutting-edge technology. What started as a one-person operation quickly grew into a trusted local provider, known for personalized service and advanced solutions.

Today, ONYX continues to protect Owen Sound families and businesses with the same commitment to innovation and community-focused care that sparked its creation.
