What You’ll Be Doing
- Beware of surroundings at all time
- Ensure health and safety protocols are being followed, and wearing the correct PPE at all times
- Able to work outside in pleasant & unpleasant weather conditions throughout the season
- Able to work safety around large mobile equipment
- Able to work safely around processing, moving equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Here’s What You Need
- Min 3-5+ years of proven experience as an Asphalt raker working with a full paving crew on small to large scale projects
- Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision
- Ability to work well with a team
- Common knowledge of Municipal and MTO requirements regarding segregation is preferred
- Must have ability to work with, and keep up to Asphalt spreader during operations
- Must be able to rake a proper level setup mat for paving machine with minimal segregation
- Preference will be given to those that have the ability to assist with the operation of the paver by running the tail end with skill and confidence
- A valid Ontario G Class Driver’s License in good standing and access to a vehicle
- Current member in good standing of LIUNA local 1059 (or willingness to join)
