About the Role
Sundays Ice Cream Parlour and The Launch Owen Sound are looking for a creative and highly organized Social Media & Events Coordinator to bring our brand to life both online and in-person. This role is a mix of digital storytelling and event execution—perfect for someone who loves creating engaging content, managing social media, and organizing exciting community events!
Key Responsibilities :
Social Media Management
Capture Content: Take high-quality photos and videos to showcase products, experiences, and events.
Graphic Design: Create visually appealing graphics for posts, stories, and promotions (basic skills in Canva or Adobe Suite preferred).
Trend Awareness: Stay on top of social media trends and anticipate viral opportunities.
Content Planning: Develop and maintain a content calendar, ensuring a mix of engaging posts, reels, and stories.
Post Scheduling: Plan and automate posts to maintain consistency across platforms.
Model Coordination: Organize shoots with models or customers to create lifestyle-driven content.
Conceptualization: Help brainstorm content ideas and campaign themes.
On-Camera Personality: Be comfortable appearing in videos and interacting with customers on camera.
Analytics & Metrics: Track engagement, reach, and effectiveness of content, adjusting strategies as needed.
Influencer Outreach: Compile lists of social media influencers and collaborate on partnerships.
Content Management: Organize, manage & update our content catalog throughout the season
Event Planning & Coordination
Plan & Oversee Events: Organize events, pop-ups, and promotions at The Launch and Sundays Ice Cream Parlour.
Musician & Performer Management: Handle communication with musical guests, seek out new talent, and build an artist roster.
Event Logistics: Manage setup, breakdown, and on-site coordination.
Guest & Performer Relations: Serve as the primary contact for event participants and ensure smooth operations.
Website Management: Keep the events calendar updated with current and upcoming events.
Outreach & Communication: Connect with event guests, vendors, and performers using various platforms (email, social media, phone).
On-Site Content Capture: Be present at all events to document and share live moments through social media.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in social media content creation, marketing, or event planning is a must;
- A strong eye for photography, videography, and social media storytelling;
- Familiarity with social media analytics and trends ( preferred);
- Design skills (Canva, Photoshop, or similar);
- Strong communication and organizational skills;
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for events;
- Self starter and able to troubleshoot technical issues.
