As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be the face of Onyx Smart Security, connecting with potential residential and commercial clients in the Owen Sound and surrounding areas. You will introduce them to our innovative suite of smart security solutions, understand their unique needs, and provide tailored recommendations to protect what matters most to them.
What You’ll Do:
- Actively prospect and generate new leads through various methods, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Conduct in-person presentations and consultations with potential clients, showcasing the benefits and features of Onyx Smart Security systems.
- Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings, including alarm systems, smart home automation, surveillance cameras, and access control.
- Assess client security needs and design customized solutions that meet their specific requirements and budget.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and quotations.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
- Collaborate effectively with the installation and customer support teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
What You Bring:
- Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably within the security, technology, or related industry.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. You can confidently and persuasively articulate the value of our solutions.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- A passion for technology and a genuine desire to help people feel secure.
- Familiarity with the Owen Sound and surrounding areas is an asset.
