Job Description

Owen Sound Vault Works is hiring for a Full Time Seasonal Cemetery Maintenance and Manufacturing position. 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Maintenance of lawn areas in cemeteries, including grass cutting, trimming and clean up.
  • Taking direction from Supervisor as assigned
  • Work independently with a strong work ethic and drive to complete tasks at hand 
  • Cleaning of vehicles and equipment used on a weekly basis.
  • Assisting full time staff with daily activities of manufacturing and delivery of products

Qualifications: 

  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Able to work safely within the guidelines of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Work well independently and as part of a team 
  • Understand and execute detailed written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to be versatile with varied tasks along with constant changes of priorities. 
  • Must have transportation to/from work yard.

Our company specializes in manufacturing a range of concrete burial products and providing services collaborated closely with funeral homes and cemeteries in the grey/bruce area. Over 40 landscaping and decorative items are available to the public such as patio stones, tree circles, bike stands, flower pots, park benches and oil tank bases for fuel companies. We offer a complete service from digging in cemeteries and installation of vaults. Monument bases are also installed by our company and repair of bases in older cemeteries. Cemetery maintenance is a crucial aspect of our company, as it ensures that the grounds remain respectful, welcoming and well-preserved for visitors and loved ones.
